Confirm scope & arrangements
Suitability, conflicts, availability, record requirements and examination arrangements are assessed. A bespoke quotation is agreed before work starts.

Provide written instructions
Clear written instructions and the appropriate records are required before work can begin. A secure method for transferring case material will be agreed directly.
Dental report types & supporting work
Preliminary written opinion
Initial review to help understand the case and likely further work.
Condition & prognosis
Assessment of the present dental condition and prognosis within the agreed scope.
Breach of duty & causation
A dental negligence opinion considering whether treatment fell below the relevant clinical standard and its relationship to the alleged harm, within the agreed questions.
Dental personal injury
Reports for civil claims involving accidents and dental trauma, with clinical examination where required.
GDC regulatory matters & joint discussions
Experience in GDC hearings and joint panel discussions. The clinical questions, proposed role and any regulatory deadlines should be made clear in your initial enquiry.
Supplemental work, conferences & court
Additional work and attendance arranged in advance, subject to availability.
What your instruction should include
- Clear questions and the scope of the requested opinion.
- Dental and relevant medical records before and after the incident.
- Radiographs and relevant clinical photographs.
- Party statements and other expert reports, where appropriate.
- Court directions, disclosure dates and any hearing dates.
