Answers for instructing solicitors
Yes. Dr Patel accepts instructions for both claimants and defendants. His overriding duty is to the court, and instructions are accepted only within his knowledge and experience.
An initial review of records can be undertaken and a preliminary written opinion provided. Whether a desktop review or in-person examination is appropriate depends on the instruction and available evidence.
Examinations are arranged by appointment at Marylebone Smile Clinic, 66 Harley Street, London W1G 7HD.
Personal injury, condition and prognosis, and breach of duty and causation reports start from £900 in the engagement terms. A bespoke quotation is agreed before work begins.
Send an initial enquiry outlining the matter, the requested opinion and any deadlines. Suitability, conflicts, availability and fees are reviewed before clear written instructions are accepted.
Dr Patel has experience in GDC regulatory hearings, joint panel discussions and civil claims involving alleged dental malpractice, accidents and dental trauma. Each proposed instruction is assessed for clinical scope, conflicts and availability.
